Mental Health therapy

I offer three types of mental health therapy: individual therapy, EMDR therapy, and group therapy. As a licensed mental health counselor, I want to assist you in unpacking the trauma you have been carrying, lifting the weight of heaviness, and managing any anxiety you have been experiencing. My mission as a therapist is to provide you with the tools and resources you need to cope when life gets difficult. I offer a warm space to walk with you through the healing process. You can come to me with anything and I am ready to listen and help you process any experiences such as familial invalidation, racial trauma, microaggressions, childhood abuse, sexual assault, or anything else you may be struggling with.

Therapy works best when you attend all your scheduled appointments. I ask that you prepare to meet with me on a weekly basis for at least four weeks in a row, after which we will collaborate and evaluate together how often you should continue to come in.

During your complimentary initial consultation, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy as well as any goals you would like to work towards. I encourage all my potential and existing clients to ask questions about my therapeutic approach and how therapy will work for them. Mental health therapy is a treatment that focuses on the underlying causes of symptoms you may be experiencing. Therapy should not be considered a “quick fix”.
